Cecilville House

This charming cottage, situated in Glendale, is set within a lavish garden space which provides the couple with both privacy and beauty. It was the kitchen, laundry and master bathroom that were in need of a renovation. The challenge was to combine kitchen, laundry and eating areas into one space without jeopardizing the function and charm in regards to the rest of the house. For starters, the country-style kitchen was re-designed alongside the laundry area, which has a washer and dryer that have been cloaked behind custom built cabinetry that matches the door style of the kitchen cabinets. This tastefully blends these two rooms as one. The laundry area counter top is also used as a garden work top with its sink to the far right which leads out to the garden. The master bathroom has new cabinetry, lighting, sinks, tiled walls and floor, but the bath tub is original. All in all, it makes for a snug dwelling.
